The 29th Annual Governor’s Cup Competition was held on August 13 at The Center Club in Baltimore. Entries must be MD-appellation wines, meaning they’re made from Maryland-grown grapes and other fruit.

We are thrilled to report that Willow Oaks won best in class for "Gloaming", our apple/black currant cider. Gloaming also earned a gold medal.

"Vocare", our aged cider, won silver.

Congratulations on the prize.
I just saw about you on MPT Farm and Harvest this evening . Dec. 12. Wonderful. I just passed your sign along Old National Pike last weekend but didn't look closely as I thought it was for a new housing development! I'm renovating an old house just west past South Mountain but haven't noticed the sign before. From Silver Spring. Will be up again and will stop in for sure.

Hi Paul,
So glad you enjoyed the segment. We sure hope you'll enjoy your visit when you come by. (And you can swap stories with Eric about restoring old houses!)
